Stencil and Stamped Impression

What is Stencil Concrete?

Stencil concrete is a decorative technique used for either existing plain concrete or new driveways, patios, and pathways.

How It Works:

  1. A unique stencil design is placed over the existing or freshly poured concrete surface.
  2. Thrown colour or sprayed cementitious overlay is then applied over the stencil.
  3. Once cured, the stencil is removed, leaving behind intricate patterns and textures.

Benefits of Stencil Concrete

Stencil concrete provides an attractive alternative to block paving, with the added advantage of low maintenance. You can customise your design by selecting from a variety of stencil patterns and colours. Plus, the embedded design ensures durability, making it a long-lasting choice.

Stamped Impression Concrete

Also known as stamped concrete, this technique involves imprinting patterns and textures into freshly placed concrete or an overlay. Stamped concrete offers the advantage of versatility by closely imitating natural materials such as brick, stone, or wood and can be used for patios, pool decks, paths and driveways.

How It Differs from Stencilling

Stamped concrete uses large polyurethane forms to create the desired image directly on the wet concrete. Stencilling, on the other hand, adds paper to the concrete following the mortar joints of the chosen pattern.

Remember, whether you prefer the precision of stencils or the texture of stamped impressions, both techniques offer creative ways to enhance your concrete surfaces!
